Chris M. Shepherd
After attending high school at Culver Military Academy, I graduated from Chicago's Loyola University and began my professional career in the office of United States Senator Peter Fitzgerald. Upon graduating, I enrolled in Chicago Kent Law School, where I worked with and learned from some of the finest attorneys in Chicago. While attending Kent, I received an Academic Scholarship and won the CALI award for Excellence in Forensic Science.
In 2005, I fulfilled a lifelong ambition of starting my own independent practice. I represent people accused of crime in trial courts and on appeal, at the State and Federal level, in Cook County and throughout Illinois. I have helped my clients defeat accusations of everything from sexual assault to soliciting murder and everything in between.
I am the author of the “Obtaining the Early Advantage for Clients Accused of Drug Crimes” chapter of Thomson Reuter’s “Inside the Minds: Defense Strategies for Drug Crimes”, 2012 ed., enjoy writing articles for my blog ChicagoCrimeLawyer.com, and I am an active member of the Citizens Climate Lobby.
